We have escaped from our old ways and values, that held us so highly when the Hopi first appeared on this land. The values that worked for us at the beginning has not grown with our advances and our technology. Technology comes quick and in bursts, which can far out date a modern, growing civilization quickly. We are lost as a society but definitely headed in the right direction.

Slowly.

So slowly as mother earth and all life suffers from it. Humans are a beautiful creation but like a virus can be parasitic to one another and uncaring. This works well in a world of survival of the fittest, but we humans should take our place among the caretakers of not just this earth, but the moon and other planets, life and civilizations.

How do we make sure our values are maintained and evolved as fast as technology grows?

We can’t, but we can really try to keep up. We are doing this in many ways. Crime and prisons are a human way to deal with the issues of disobedience. We have a good strategy if we are looking at how efficient the system is when you lock someone up, but if they basically use jail as a school and eventually are released, what type of guide are we giving them? Where is the human component?

At the basic levels, we need to introduce the old tribal systems in to our new efficient models. We need to bring back the human component at the sentencing. When an individual is being convicted of a crime, they should be a group of people who talk to him about the root issue. Not just punishing him for his wrong doings, but trying to figure out why he is doing wrong in the first place and help him through this stage. Why was he doing drugs? How close is he to his family? What peers does he/she look up to? We need to take the guidance counciling to a new level.

We need to become friends and become closer to one another. Humans have an innate ability to block out others pain, to ignore suffering. This served us well as we evolved. But now we must decide if we are apes or do we want to be angels. Our path is to the stars and we need to take our rightly place in this global civilization, so let us be ANGELS and caretakers of all life and eliminate suffering!

We must get to know each other and a basic level, take the time, make the effort.

If we do not know the criminal, its up to them to fix themselves. If they don’t have the capacity or will to do this, we need to not only try to guide them in a positive direction but also get to know their problems and care. We are caring more as a society, as this new age of enlightenment dawns on mankind. This age of the information and sharing…

It can lead two paths, we must chose.

It is in our destiny to eliminate the suffering of all. And when ALL is mentioned, that doesn’t just mean human, but animal suffering, life suffering and planet suffering. In time all this will be eliminated.

A wise man must speak out! We are not listening or using our elders, for guidance as we should in this society. Old people are an asset which is wasted by most men. When it is used, its through war and that is old men sending young men off to die, but it doesn’t have to be this way.

- An eye for an eye, tooth for tooth. If that were true, we would all be eyeless and toothless people

What else can be done in our prison systems?

No clear model has been successful at this point but we should introduce the human component in to our prison systems. How do you expect the guard to care that criminal who just spit in his face, how do he care about the criminal. We are so far separated from one other, we have to come together.

But how do come together? Do we have to wait for 911? Do we have to wait for a nuclear 911 until people start to actually change? History shows the heart of the human is strong and just, but it is very late to act, disbelief that something is broke and hard to admit when one is wrong. Its in our nature!

How do we then try to reform a prison system of such separation? It seems to simple to be true, but we must introduce the human component. And we must do this before something happens because we will eventually do it. Our prison systems are used to house the inmates, but not used efficiently to either solve the problems of the individuals or to actually use them as a work force.

Religion is good to have as a base for some in prisons and this must be used as a door.

Weight lifting is used to keep them strong physically but offers not guidance or direction. Martial arts should be introduced to eventually teach discipline, honor and a righteous path. We need to keep them busy with positive things, good role models and caring people. We need to introduce the human component.

There is no use trying to take the drugs away from a person who wants to do drugs. They will find it. And when you eliminated all sources of drugs, they will make new ones. This is because their energy is simply focused in the wrong direction.

Do not try to defeat the reaction, but just guide and control the reaction. The key is to eliminated the reasons why they are taking the drugs in the first place. And this can be a time consuming task! Are we up to it as a society? Its vital for our survival!

Release

When we let someone go after they have committed a crime and served their time, where do they go? What do they do? What part is our prison system invested in knowing an individual after they have left the system. It is sad, but there is next to nothing that we do in this instance. We must introduce a human component. This is another role that elders can play in our society.

Imagine if the elders of our society, the most balanced individuals could be used to teach this people. To give them a home.

We must get to know one another and help each other… its a simple as that.

The Hopi Message
AN ADDRESS BY THOMAS BANYACYA, KYKOTSMOVI, ARIZONA

The presentation by Mr Thomas Banyacya, the final speaker, was preceded by three shouts by Oren Lyons, Faithkeeper of the Six Nations, and first speaker of the day. The shouts were a spiritual announcement to the Great Spirit of the people assembled and the intention to give a message of spiritual importance.

Thomas then sprinkled corn meal next to the podium of the General Assembly and made a brief remark in Hopi that translates as follows:

Hopi Spiritual leaders had an ancient prophecy that some day world leaders would gather in a Great House of Mica with rules and regulations to solve the world problems without war. I am amazed to see the prophecy has come true and you are here today! But only a handful of United Nations Delegates are present to hear the Motee Sinom (Hopi for First People) from around the world who spoke here today.

(In English:) My name is Banyacya of the Wolf, Fox and Coyote Clan and I am a member of the Hopi sovereign nation. Hopi in our language means a peaceful, kind, gentle, truthful people. The traditional Hopi follows the spiritual path that was given to us by Massau’u the Great Spirit. We made a sacred covenant to follow his life plan at all times, which includes the responsibility of taking care of this land and life for his divine purpose. We have never made treaties with any foreign nation, including the United States, but for many centuries we have honored this sacred agreement. Our goals are not to gain political control, monetary wealth nor military power, but rather to pray and to promote the welfare of all living beings and to preserve the world in a natural way. We still have our ancient sacred stone tablets and spiritual religious societies which are the foundations of the Hopi way of life. Our history says our white brother should have retained those same sacred objects and spiritual foundations.

In 1948, all traditional Hopi spiritual leaders met and spoke of things I felt strongly were of great importance to all people. They selected four interpreters to carry their message of which I am the only one still living today. At the time, I was given a sacred prayer feather by the spiritual leaders. I made a commitment to carry the Hopi message of peace and deliver warnings from prophesies known since the time the previous world was destroyed by flood and our ancestors came to this land.

My mission was to open the doors of this Great House of Mica to native peoples. The Elders said to knock four times and this commitment was fulfilled when I delivered a letter and the sacred prayer feather I had been given to John Washburn in the Secretary General’s office in October, 1991. I am bringing part of the Hopi message to you here today. We have only ten minutes to speak and time is late so I am making my statement short.

At the meeting in 1948, Hopi leaders 80, 90 and even 100 years old explained that the creator made the first world in perfect balance where humans spoke one language, but humans turned away from moral and spiritual principles. They misused their spiritual powers for selfish purposes. They did not follow nature’s rules. Eventually the world was destroyed by sinking of land and separation of land by what you would call major earthquakes. Many died and only a small handful survived.

Then this handful of peaceful people came into the second world. They repeated their mistakes and the world was destroyed by freezing which you call the great Ice Age.

The few survivors entered the third world. That world lasted a long time and as in previous worlds, the people spoke one language. The people invented many machines and conveniences of high technology, some of which have not yet been seen in this age. They even had spiritual powers that they used for good. They gradually turned away from natural laws and pursued only material things and finally only gambled while they ridiculed spiritual principles. No one stopped them from this course and the world was destroyed by the great flood that many nations still recall in their ancient history or in their religions.

The Elders said again only small groups escaped and came to this fourth world where we now live. Our world is in terrible shape again even though the Great Spirit gave us different languages and sent us to four corners of the world and told us to take care the the Earth and all that is in it.

This Hopi ceremonial rattle represents Mother Earth. The line running around it is a time line and indicates that we are in the final days of the prophecy. What have you, as individuals, as nations and as the world body been doing to to take care of this Earth? In the Earth today, humans poison their own food, water and air with pollution. Many of us, including children, are left to starve. Many wars are still being fought. Greed and concern for material things is a common disease.

In this western hemisphere, our homeland, many original native people are landless, homeless, starving and have no medical help.

The Hopi knew humans would develop many powerful technologies that would be abused. In this century, we have seen the First World War and the Second World War in which the predicted gourd of ashes, which you call the atomic bomb, fell from the sky with great destruction. Many thousands of people were destroyed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

For many years there has been great fear and danger of World War Three. The Hopi believe the Persian Gulf War was the beginning of World War Three but it was stopped and the worst weapons of destruction were not used. This is now a time to weigh the choices for our future. We do have a choice. If you, the nations of this Earth, create another great war, the Hopi believe we humans will burn ourselves to death with ashes. That’s why the spiritual Elders stress strongly that the United Nations fully open the door for native spiritual leaders as soon as possible.

Nature itself does not speak with a voice that we can easily understand. Neither can the animals and birds we are threatening with extinction talk to us. Who in this world can speak for nature and the spiritual energy that creates and flows through all life? In every continent are human beings who are like you but who have not separated themselves from the land and from nature. It is through their voice that Nature can speak to us. You have heard those voices and many messages from the four corners of the world today. I have studied comparative religion and I think in your own nations and cultures you have knowledge of the consequences of living out of balance with nature and spirit. The native peoples of the world have seen and spoken to you about the destruction of their lives and homelands, the ruination of nature and the desecration of their sacred sites. It is time the United Nations used its rules to investigate these occurrences and stop them now.

The Four Corners area of the Hopi is bordered by four sacred mountains. The spiritual center within is a sacred site our prophecies say will have special purpose in the future for mankind to survive and now should be left in its natural state. All nations must protect this spiritual center.

The Hopi and all original native people hold the land in balance by prayer, fasting and performing ceremonies. Our spiritual Elders still hold the land in the Western Hemisphere in balance for all living beings, including humans. No one should be relocated from their sacred homelands in this Western Hemisphere or anywhere in the world. Acts of forced relocation, such as Public Law 93-531 in the United States, must be repealed.

The United Nations stands on our native homeland. The United Nations talks about human rights, equality and justice and yet the native people have never had a real opportunity to speak to this assembly since its establishment until today. It should be the mission of your nations and this assembly to use your power and rules to examine and work to cure the damage people have done to this Earth and to each other. Hopi Elders know that was your mission and they wait to see whether you will act on it now.

Nature, the First People and the spirit of our ancestors are giving you loud warnings. Today, December 10, 1992, you see increasing floods, more damaging hurricanes, hail storms, climate changes and earthquakes as our prophesies said would come. Even animals and birds are warning us with strange change in their behavior such as the beaching of whales. Why do animals act like they know about the earth’s problems and most humans act like they know nothing? If we humans do not wake up to the warnings, the great purification will come to destroy this world just as the previous worlds were destroyed.

(Thomas and Oren Lyons held up a picture of a large rock drawing in Hopiland)

This rock drawing shows part of the Hopi prophecy. There are two paths. The first with technology but separate from natural and spiritual law leads to these jagged lines representing chaos. The lower path is one that remains in harmony with natural law. Here we see a line that represents a choice like a bridge joining the paths. If we return to spiritual harmony and live from our hearts, we can experience a paradise in this world. If we continue only on this upper path, we will come to destruction.

Its up to all of us, as children of Mother Earth, to clean up this mess before it’s too late.

The Elders request that during this International Year for the Worlds Indigenous Peoples, the United Nations keep that door open for spiritual leaders from the four corners of the world to come to speak to you for more than a few minutes as soon as possible. The Elders also request that eight investigative teams visit the native areas of the world to observe and tell the truth about what is being done and stop these nations from moving in this self- destructive direction.

If any of you leaders want to learn more about the spiritual vision and power of the Elders, I invite you to come out to Hopiland and sit down with our real spiritual leaders in their sacred Kivas where they will reveal the ancient secrets of survival and balance.

I hope that all members of this assembly that know the spiritual way will not just talk about it, but in order to have real peace and harmony, will follow what it says across the United Nations wall: “They will beat their swords into plowshares and study war no more.” Lets, together, do that now!

Epilogue

The night before the presentations of the native people from around the world to the General Assembly, there was a total eclipse of the moon over New York City and the sky was clear. The evening after the presentation by Mr Banyacya and the other native spokespersons, heavy rain and strong wind began. The weathermen had been calling for a snowstorm but what came the following day were the worst floods in New York’s memory. Major highways were washed away by the sea and the United Nations itself experienced flooding of its lower subfloors, forcing a shutdown of its heating and air conditioning and all personnel were dismissed at three o’clock.

In the ground floor meeting room, where on December 11, native peoples were meeting representatives of various UN agencies, Thomas Banyacya spontaneously called on all the participants, including UN officials, to form a great circle. All the Elders were in the center and Thomas called in some non-native people as well. Each silently said a prayer. The forming of the circle of unity of all people from the four corners of the Earth was more than just a symbolic act. One participant said she had never felt herself to be in such a safe place. Later, several people present noted that no further storm damage occurred in Manhattan and that the storm itself abated that afternoon.

All Hopi Elders pass their prophecies and warnings, from generation to generation, through oral traditions and reference to ancient rock pictographs and tablets.

Hopi Blue Star or Blue Kachina Prophecy

One ancient Hopi prophecy states, “When the Blue Star Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens (possibly in 2012), the Fifth World will emerge”. This will be the Day of Purification (Dec 21st 2012 at 11:11am). The Hopi name for the star Sirius is Blue Star Kachina.

It will come when the (Blue Star Sirius) Saquasohuh Kachina dances in the plaza and removes its mask for all to see. Our reality is a metaphor in which we quest to find answers to the some of the greater truths of who we are and why we are here. We all know deep inside. Something or someone in our souls tells us that change is happening now, on a global scale and on a global consciousness level. This is why the blue frequency is part of that. Sirius is Isis – Rebirth of Consciousness. Blue links to higher/future frequencies of consciousness as we spiral up through the patterns of Sacred Geometry and understand the true nature of the universe and why we are here.

Blue — blue-white — blue-black

blue is the color of electromagnetic electricity – our reality (your reality) is as a bipolar electromagnetic energy grid program!

blue galaxies

blue bloods – allegedly an alien race who seeded this reality – sometimes linked to the Pleiades or Sirius (Isis)

blue chakra

blue ray in the ascended master pantheon of teachers

Prophecy Rock

Right near Oraibi in Arizona there is a petro-glyph known as Prophecy Rock which symbolizes many many Hopi Indian prophecies.

Its interpretation is:

The large human figure on the left is the Great Spirit of Humankind. The bow in the spirits left hand, represents his instructions to the Hopi Indians, that they should lay down their weapons. The vertical line to the right of the Almighty Great Spirit is a time scale in thousands of years. And the point at which the great Spirit touches the line, is the time of his return, which is most likely in 2012.

The “life path” established by the Great Spirit of Humanity, divides into the lower, narrow path of continuous life in harmony with nature and the wide upper road of white man’s scientific achievements which leads to disaster. The bar between the paths, above the cross, is the coming of the white man; and the Cross is that of Christianity.

The circle below the cross represents the continuous Path of Life.

The four small human figures on the upper road represent on one level, the past 3 worlds and also represent the present; on the other level, the figures indicate that some of the Hopi Indians will travel the white man’s path, having been seduced by its glamor. The 2 circles on the lower Path of Life are “the great shaking of the earth” (possibly world wars 1 and 2). The swastika in the sun and the Celtic cross represent the two helpers of Pahana, the True White Brother.

Also the short line that returns to the straight Path of Life, is the last chance for people to turn back to nature before destruction and the upper road disintegrates and dissipates in to disaster! The small circle above the Path of Life after the last chance, is the Great Purification, after which corn will grow in abundance again when the Great Spirit returns. And the Path of Life continues forever!

The Hopi shield in the lower right corner symbolizes the Earth and the Four-Corners area where the Hopi have been reserved. The arms of the cross also represent the four directions in which they migrated according to the instructions of the Great Spirit.

The dots represent the four colors of Hopi corn, and the four racial colors of humanity.

Where to Live to Avoid a Natural Disaster

Weather disasters and quakes: who’s most at risk? The analysis below, by Sperling’s Best Places, a publisher of city rankings, is an attempt to assess a combination of those risks in 379 American metro areas. Risks for twisters and hurricanes (including storms from hurricane remnants) are based on historical data showing where storms occurred. Earthquake risks are based on United States Geological Survey assessments and take into account the relative infrequency of quakes, compared with weather events and floods. Additional hazards included in this analysis: flooding, drought, hail and other extreme weather.

Where Are The Safest Places To Live in the World?

Are there places in the world free from natural disasters or is that just a dream? It would appear that the safest places in the world to live in terms of natural disasters (man-made not included) are Estonia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Andorra.

EM-DAT, which is run by Belgium’s Center for Research on the Epidemiology of Disaster, is the leading authority of such statistics. Their catalog listing, which includes more than more than 11,000 major natural disasters, has no record of fatal floods, droughts, earthquakes, or severe storms in any of these countries between the years of 1900 to 2009. (Since 2009, no natural disasters have been reported either.)

The records do not include man-made catastrophes such as famine, cholera, and wildfires. They are also incomplete for those years before 1988 when the EM-DAT database was first established. The omission of a 1978 flood in Singapore whether accidental or intentional, casts some doubts as to the absolute accuracy of the statistics.

Mortality figures do not tell the entire story of a country’s vulnerability to natural disaster, but they are a convenient way to compare results. They do slightly alter data as the lesser populated, more affluent countries are certain to sustain fewer fatalities.

As we say, the Hopi are the first people created. They must cure the ills of their own bloodline so everything will become peaceful naturally, by the will of the Creator. He will cure the world. But right now Hopi is being hurt. To us this is a sign that the world is in trouble. All over the world the confused people have been fighting, and it will get worse. It is only purification of the Hopi that will settle the problems here on this Earth. We didn’t suffer all this hardship and punishment for nothing. We live by these prophecies and teachings, and no matter what happens, we will not buckle down under any pressure from anybody.

We know certain people are commissioned to bring about the Purification. It is the Universal Plan from the beginning of creation, and we are looking up to them to bring purification to us. It is in the rock writings throughout the world, on different continents. We will come together if people all over the world know about it. So we urge you to spread this word around so people will know about it, and the appointed ones will hurry up with their task, to purify the Hopi and get rid of those who are hindering our way of life.

I have spoken. I wish this message to travel to all corners of this land and across the great waters, where people of understanding may consider these words of wisdom and knowledge. This I want. For people may have different opinions about some things, but because of the nature of the beliefs upon which the Hopi life is based, I expect that at least one will agree, maybe even two. If three agree it will be worth many fold.

I am forever looking and praying eastward to the rising sun for my true white brother to come and purify the Hopi. My father, Yukiuma, used to tell me that I would be the one to take over as leader at this time, because I belong to the Sun Clan, the father of all the people on the Earth. I was told that I must not give in, because I am the first. The Sun is the father of all living things from the first creation. And if I am done, the Sun Clan, then there will be no living thing left on the Earth. So I have stood fast. I hope you will understand what I am trying to tell you.

- Dan Katchongva, Sun Clan of the Hopi Indians (ca. 1865-1972)

A survival kit is a package of basic tools and supplies prepared in advance as an aid to survival in an emergency. Military aircraft, lifeboats, and spacecraft are equipped with survival kits.

Survival kits, in a variety of sizes, contain supplies and tools to provide a person with basic shelter against the elements, help them keep warm, meet their health and first aid needs, provide food and water, signal to rescuers, and assist them in finding their way back to help. Supplies in a survival kit normally contain a knife (often a Swiss army knife or a multi-tool), matches, tinder, first aid kit, bandana, fish hooks, sewing kit, and an LED flashlight and laser pointer with long shelf-life batteries (usually lithium type).
PREPAREDNESS TIPS
• Store survival kits in a convenient place known to all family members.
• Keep a smaller version of your supplies kit in the trunk of your car, at work, and at school.
• Keep them in airtight plastic bags, if possible.
• Change your stored water supply every six months so it stays fresh.
• Replace your stored food every six months.
• Ask your physician or pharmacist about storing prescription medications.
• Rethink your kit and family needs at least once a year

Who is this “true white brother from the east”?

There will come out of people to the east, someone who will help us. Someone who will fulfill the Hopi Prophecy. This white man/woman is foretold to help the Hopi with Land disputes and this may help better the purification event. This event may not come to pass if the White Buffalo helps as foretold in Hopi Prophecy. There are two paths on the prophecy rock.

The Hopi Prophecy Rock

Human kind has taken the wrong path and this leads to the purification. The purification can be as bad or as good, as we make it. The prophecy tells us, it’s up to us. We can join together and fix things, or we can do nothing and the great purification will destroy almost everything. Why must we wait?

Although this petroglyph was unguarded for hundreds of years, it is now carefully protected by Hopi elders. Access to Hopi lands and the recent disputes with neighboring tribes and governmental agencies have restricted these cultural icons to the religious leaders of the Hopi. The stone, also called the “Hopi Prophesy Stone,” is now hidden from the view of cameras and non-Hopi visitors. In the late 1960′s, a remarkable man visited Hopiland and made an extensive survey of this petroglyph. LaVan Martineau copied and translated the strange marks and revealed a message that has special meaning to Native Americans and all people of our planet– especially during the impending new cycle.

The “Hopi Plan of Life” is described by the elders of the Hopi Hotevilla faction as follows:

When the Hopi first arrived upon this land the Creator was the only one living here at the time. When the Hopi met the Creator here, they asked him to be their leader. The Creator refused and said that there were many evil intentions in their hearts that they must first fulfill before he could be their leader. Those who managed to survive and live through all their evil intentions would meet the Creator after all was over and he would then be their leader. The Creator is therefore the ‘first’ and the ‘last’ because of this meeting arrangement.

One of the many instructions given to the Hopis by the Creator at this time was that they should migrate all over this continent and, while doing so, they should leave their picture writing and clan symbols upon the rocks near their ruins as a sign that the Hopis were the first and were rightfully holding this entire continent in trust for the Creator. In regard to this they were told by the Creator that a time would come when another race would come upon this land and claim it all, but that these Hopi writings upon the rocks would justly retain and hold the ownership of this land by the Hopi in trust for the Creator.

LaVan Martineau was raised by Native Americans as a child and was fluent in the sign language used by many tribes. A stint in the military exposed him to the science of crypanalysis, the study of codes and symbols, and later enabled him to decipher the hidden meanings of American petroglyphs. In his book, The Rocks Begin To Speak, Martineau gives the following interpretation of “The Hopi Life Plan,” symbol by symbol. Symbol A represents the Creator pointing down close to the ground from where the Hopi claim to have come. The short vertical lines near the Creator’s hand B thus represent the Hopi people. The Creator is holding in his left hand “the life plan” or “trail” C upon which the Hopi are to embark. Near this hand is a circle D which represents “holding” of the entire continent in trust for the Creator, as he had instructed. (Since this photograph was taken, viewers of this panel have added a bow to the right hand of the Creator which was not apparent when Martineau surveyed the carving.)

Point E on the trail or life plan represents a time when it was predicted by the Creator that the Hopi would digress from the true path given to them and pursue another way. The square F is said to represent Oraibi, and the line or path G coming down from the square represents the false path of the wicked Oraibi– the Hopi who are always trying to outdo and hold themselves above others, without the help of God. (This line is above the true path.)

The figures H standing upon the false path represent the wicked themselves. Older Hopi claim that heads have recently been added to these symbols, for they remember a time when no heads existed on these figures. The absence of heads would represent the punishment or death that the wicked must undergo as a result of following the false path.

The two zigzag lines I stemming from the false path represent the careless and different paths to permanent destruction pursued by the wicked. Each zigzag is the pursuit of a careless and wicked intention that will eventually come to a dead end when all evil intentions have been exhausted. This “dead end” is shown by the symbol turning around or sagging down J. The upper zigzag line has recently been scratched and marred to such an extent that is resembles a fourth figure, which the Hopi say was not there originally. Whether it was or was not does not seriously affect this translation.

Symbol K is the true path of everlasting life, symbol L, which is shown at four points along this true path. The incorporation of the symbol old age (a cane) with life (a branching corn leaf) represents everlasting life.

This true path to everlasting life is bisected at three different points by three half circles M, which might have been complete circles at one time. (This panel has been scratched over so many times that it is often difficult to distinguish the correct form of these symbols). The Hopi say that they are gourds which are shaken, thus representing three great wars or shakings that will transpire before the everlasting life is reached. The last circle represents the “final war” of purification in which all evil will be destroyed.

At point N on this panel the false path connects with an everlasting life symbol, showing that some may return to the true path and to everlasting life. The two zigzag lines which extend beyond this point of possible return to the path of everlasting life thus truly indicate permanent destruction, since the wicked have gone beyond this point of no return. Symbol O, at the end of the path is the great spirit holding an everlasting life symbol in his hand. He is shown waiting here at the end of the trail just as he was shown at the beginning of it. For this reason he is called the first and the last.

Symbol P is difficult to distinguish, again because of the panel having been repeatedly scratched instead of chalked (for photographing). It more closely resembles three dots, but the Hopi claim it is a Catholic cross added to the panel after a bad experience with the Catholics in the seventeenth century. This symbol was placed there by the Creator’s instructions, to show that the Hopi way and the Catholic way should not combine.
